We collect information to make Nova.Mate work intelligently and safely for you.

The types of information include:

1. Account details: name, email address, password, language, region.

2. Profile preferences: avatar, voice, and personalization settings.

3. Conversation data: voice, text, and interaction logs you provide when using Nova.Mate.

4. Feedback & support messages you send to us.

1. Device model, operating system, app version, IP address, and connection type.

2. Interaction data (e.g., app usage frequency, feature clicks, crash logs).

3. Connected device info (Nova.Mate robot ID, firmware version, connection status).

With your consent, Nova.Mate may access:

1. Microphone (for voice conversations)

2. Camera (for visual features, if available)

3. Bluetooth or Wi-Fi (to connect with your Nova.Mate device)

You can change these permissions anytime in your device settings.

We use the collected information to:

1. Provide and personalize your Nova.Mate experience.

2. Enable conversations and store memory so Nova.Mate can remember you.

3. Improve AI performance through anonymized learning and testing.

We do not sell your personal information.  

The data we collect is to improve and personalize your experience.

Chapter 3. How We Store and Protect Your Data

We use strong encryption, anonymization, and secure cloud infrastructure (AWS & equivalent) to protect your information.

Only authorized personnel have access, and all access is logged and monitored.

1. Data encryption: in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256).

2. Anonymization: personal identifiers are separated from interaction data.

3. Access control: internal access granted on a need-to-know basis only.

If you choose to delete your account, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Chapter 4. AI Conversations and Memory

Nova.Mate uses artificial intelligence technologies to process voice and text inputs and generate responses (e.g., your favorite music, your birthday, your family’s names).  

Some data is processed directly on your device, which other requests may be securely transmitted to our servers or trusted AI service providers.

Aggregated and anonymized data may be used to enhance system accuracy and reliability as well as train AI models.

You can:

1. View or clear conversation history anytime in the app settings.

2. Request opt-out of AI model improvements where applicable

3. Request full deletion of your stored data (see Section 8).

Nova.Mate does not make independent decisions — all AI responses are generated based on algorithms and your provided data.

Chapter 5. Sharing Your Information

We only share your data when necessary, including:

1. Service providers (e.g., weather report based on instant IP) under strict confidentiality agreements.

2. Legal compliance when required by law or lawful government request.

3. Business transfers in case of merger, acquisition, or reorganization — you’ll be notified in advance.

4. We never sell, rent, or exchange your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Our website and app may use cookies or analytics tools to improve performance and understand usage trends.

These tools collect anonymized data only — not your identity.

We keep your data only as long as needed to:

3. Resolve disputes.

When you delete your account, we begin secure deletion of your data from active systems within 30 days, and backups are wiped within 90 days.

Chapter 9. Children’s Privacy

Nova.Mate is intended for users 18 years and older.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.

If we learn that data from a child under 18 was collected inadvertently, we will delete it immediately.

Chapter 10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in other countries (such as the United States or the European Union) where we or our partners operate.

We ensure such transfers comply with applicable data-protection laws through appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses).

When we do, we’ll update the “Last Updated” date and, if changes are significant, notify you within the app or by email.
